About

The ID4Africa movement aims to promote the adoption of modern digital identity systems by African nations thereby enabling them to provide legal identity to all Africans. This way African citizens can prove their eligibility and easily access government services and benefits as well as partake in Africa’s democracy and economic take-off.

Each year, the movement has its annual meeting which is a forum and expo focused on digital identity and its applications for driving socio-economic development in Africa. Each meeting is held in a different African country and has in attendance the identity authorities and users in African countries; international development agencies; solution providers and  the domain experts.
