Barr. Frank Dix Obomeighe UnuigbojeBarr. Frank Dix Obomeighe Unuigboje was born on November 1, 1966, in the quaint town of Eme Ora, located in Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria. His early years in the Ogieneni Royal family in Jattu-Uzairue, Etsako West LGA played a significant role in shaping his values, ideals, and vision for his future.

After completing his secondary and advanced education in Ogun state, South-Western Nigeria, Frank furthered his studies at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma), where he enrolled in the Faculty of Law. From 1987 to 1991, where he obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons.) degree.
Following the completion of his undergraduate degree, Barr. Frank Unuigboje attended the Nigerian Law School, situated in Victoria Island, Lagos, between 1991 and 1992, where he completed the rigorous training necessary to practice law in Nigeria and was called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister-at-Law (B.L.) in 1992, he is an active member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
He rose through the ranks at NIMC, first serving as Edo State Coordinator (2013-2015), Regional Director for the South-South Region (2015-2019) and later as Regional Director for the South-East Region (2019-2023). His leadership in these roles was instrumental in the successful implementation of the National Identification Number (NIN) enrollment across the country, making significant strides in Biometric Identity Management.

In March 2023, Barr. Frank was redeployed to NIMC Headquarters in Abuja where he headed the Corporate Services Department whilst in July 2024, Frank was again deployed as the Deputy Director/Head of the Operations Department at NIMC Headquarters in Abuja, where he currently oversees critical national operations related to identity management. His leadership in this role is essential for the ongoing development of Nigeria’s national identity systems, ensuring that the country is aligned with international best practices in identity management.
