Florence Ogom Oloruntade currently serves as the Director/Head of the SERVICOM Unit of the National Identity Management Commission. She oversees the implementation of the Commission’s SERVICE CHARTER which is the Service Compact Agreement between the Commission and the public/citizenry/stakeholders to ensure excellent service delivery in the course of executing its primary mandate of issuing a National Identification Number to all citizens and legal residents in Nigeria.
She leads the development of customer centric strategies and procedures that will enhance citizens’ satisfaction with the National Identity Program ensuring that all service level agreements on all NIMC’s services are strictly adhered to at all the Commission’s service points.
She began her career in the identity sector in 2006 as a pioneer team member in the Secretariat of the Presidential Implementation Committee (PIC) on the Implementation of Government Decisions on Consumer Credit System, National Outsourcing Initiative and Harmonization of Identification Schemes in Nigeria; and later transited into the National Identity Management Commission in 2007.
Florence has over sixteen years’ experience in the identity management sector and is also well-versed in operations management, policy analysis, strategic planning, inter-governmental relations, human resources and business development.
Prior to her appointment as the Director/Head SERVICOM of the NIMC, she held several key positions within the Operations Department of the Commission both as a Regional Coordinator for the South-South and North Central Regions and subsequently, as Head, Liaisons for the Southern Regions of the country where she coordinated and provided direct oversight of operational activities and successfully developed and implemented strategies and work plans for the coordination, monitoring and evaluation of all the Commission’s operations in all the states and local government areas within the designate regions. Florence holds a first degree in English and Literary Studies from Delta State University, Abraka and a Master Degree in Public Governance and Leadership (in View) from the University of Abuja.
