The Director General NIMC, Chris Onyemenam, accompanied by members of his senior management team were at the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters on September 18th, 2015, on a working visit to the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase.

The visit was primarily to explore areas of collaboration between NIMC and the Nigeria Police.

Barr. Onyemenam used the opportunity to present the NIMC Identity Verification Service platform to the IGP, a solution which would effectively assist the police in the all important task of uniquely identifying persons or criminals as they discharge their duties.

The IGP expressed the willingness of the police to collaborate, especially in the area of using NIMC’s National Identification Number as a unique identifier in the upcoming recruitment of about ten thousand new persons into its workforce.
