Governments and businesses around the world are paying ever increasing attention to the digital economy of their countries in particular and the world in general. This is due to the recognition of the impact of the digital economy on economic growth and its potential to facilitate economic recovery in a post Covid-19 era.
The West African region is the most populous and the best performing economic region on the continent and digital transformation in the region will accelerate the growth of the African digital economy. The Digital Economy Regional Conference will provide an opportunity for countries in the West African region to discuss the development of their respective digital economies, including the gains, challenges and opportunities.
Professor Ali Ibrahim Pantami, the honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, will be the Chief Convener and host of the Conference.
Engineer Aliyu Aziz, the DG/CEO of NIMC will be one of the discussion panelists on the topic ‘Digital Infrastructure Financing’ on Day 2 of the Conference.
