The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has extended the enrolment of Nigerians living in the Diaspora into the National Identity Database to Togo, Niger Republic, Ivory Coast and the Republic of Ireland.

NIMC has the mandate to ensure that all Nigerian citizens and Legal Residents are enrolled into the National Identity Database and issued the unique National Identification Number (NIN) upon successful enrolment.

The Enrolment in the aforementioned countries are in partnership with Kevonne Consults Limited, Slogani Consults Nigeria Limited and Knowledge Square Nigeria Limited, all Nigerian owned companies licensed to serve as agents on behalf of NIMC across the globe.

It should be recalled that The DG/CEO NIMC, Engr. Aliyu A, Aziz reiterated that the programme is to make it easier for Nigerians in Diaspora to be identified as the Federal Government of Nigeria has made the possession of NIN a mandatory requirement for acquisition/renewal of the International Passport, Bank account opening, Pension services, Land Transactions, access to Legal/health services, Driver’s License, Exam registrations like UTME/DE, access to other Government services amongst others.

The exercise which will involve the demographic & biometrics data capture of Nigerian citizens residing in the four countries will commence in Niger Republic on the 20th of December, 2019 at Institut des Enseignements Professionnel et Technique-LA REFERENCE- IEPTR. The exercise will also commence on the 20th of December, 2019 in Ivory Coast, at Cocody Angre 7 eme tranche entre le terminus 81/82 et le terrain D Angre. And in Dublin, Ireland on the 14th of January, 2020 at Unit 9 Porters Avenue, Cool mine Ind Estate Dublin15.

Furthermore, Knowledge Square Nigeria Limited has also been licensed to open centres in Chicago, Canada and London to compliment the centres operating in these Countries. The exercise will commence in Chicago, USA on the 13th of December, 2019 at Africa International House 6200 S Drexel Ave, Chicago, IL 60637, and in Ontario, Canada on the 17th of December, 2019 at 8 Melanie Drive, Ste. 202, Brampton, ON.L6K 4L2 and in London, UK on the 8th of January, 2020 at 160 Maple Road, London SE208JB.

NIMC has also licensed UGS Technologies Limited to operate as an agent in Minnesota, USA, which is set to commence on the 10th of December, 2019 at Orange Hook Inco. 319-Bery Ave.S.Ste.-300 Wayzatta Minnesota.

The Nigerian companies licensed to work with their respective partners across all countries to carry out the enrolment of Nigerian adults and children in the Diaspora into the National Identity Database (NIDB) are; Biosec Solutions Limited, CHAMS Consortium Limited, Dantata Universal Services/VFS Global, Defcon Systems Limited/OIS Services, File Solution Limited/EYE-ID LLC, IRIS Smart Technologies Limited, Kevonne Consults Limited/Iris ID Systems Inc., National eAuthentication Limited/OIS Services, Slogani Consults Limited, Thebez Global Resources/Cox & Kings, UGS Technologies Limited/OrangeHook African Continental/Carvus, Venn Technology Limited and Knowledge Square Nigeria Limited.
